Thought Field Therapy (or TFT) is the original ‘tapping’ technique. It was developed by a distinguished clinical psychologist called Dr Callahan.
So how does TFT work?
TFT says that when we think of something, we are tuning in to a very specific “Thought Field” in much the same way as a radio can be tuned in to different stations. The energy field contains information patterns which are used to create an emotional response within the body related to that thought. This might be feelings of guilt, sadness or fear which come up every time someone thinks a particular thought. This can be changed by tapping Meridian point on the face, hands and body and release energy blockages which helps information patterns to move freely through the body.
